    Practice before the Holiday

Sunday, December 23, 2007, 03:13 PM [Practice scores]

Hello fellow Bowlspacer's! Yes, indeed, I got some practice the weekend before the holiday. So, without further ado, here are my scores. I was on lanes 25 & 26. They seem to be a common pair for me, as of late.

    Game 1: 195

    Game 2: 165

    Game 3: 205

Total: 565/Averaged: 188 I started off with my Total Inferno. I was pleased with it's reaction throughout the entire first game. The second game it was skidding out on me and I couldn't adjust enough. So, the third game, I went with my Thunderstruck and that I did. A respectable game, nonetheless. I'm starting to get back my consistency. I just need to work on adapting faster to the transitioning of the lanes.

    Game 4: 176

    Game 5: 136

    Game 6: 152

Total: 464/Averaged: 154 Well, for starters, I was bowling with no thumb during this series. I have a difficult time being consistent with my strike ball. One minute, it's in the pocket, the next minute, it's crossing over the headpin or not even coming up. I do tend to tire out moreso with this particular shot. I guess, it's b/c I have to cross lane the ball so much. Plus, I put more effort into this shot, than I do my normal shot. I suppose, that, i'll take a break for the next few days. Especially, considering, it's the holiday. I want to wish all of my fellow Bowlspacer's and your families a very Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays everyone!!!!!!

'Til next time, take care and try not to drink too much of the egg nog. Peace out!!!

Back to my (6) Games of Practicing

Friday, December 21, 2007, 08:35 AM [Practice scores]

Hey everyone! I managed to get (6) games of practice in on Thursday. It's a dollar a game for most of the day. So, you really can't beat that. Well, you can, but, you know, what I mean. Anyway, here are my scores. I was on lanes 25 & 26.

    Game 1: 157

    Game 2: 206

    Game 3: 185

Total: 548/Averaged: 182 I don't know, what it is, but, i've lost my consistency. Is it just me, the ball, the lanes or what? I wish, that, I only knew. Maybe, it's a combination of things.

    Game 4: 170

    Game 5: 136

    Game 6: 222

    Total: 528/Averaged: 176

I actually rolled my no thumb shot the last game. Something is telling me to use it more often. I'm just afraid of a drop in my average even moreso. The consistency is a key for me. I don't know, if i'll ever have it with this type of a shot. I guess, i'll never know unless I try it. Stay tuned for more to come. i'm sure, that, i'll be practicing sometime again very soon.

'Til next time, take care and peace out my fellow Bowlspacer's!!!!!!

Good luck at League tonight. Try to stay positive and throw good shots. Leave the personal stuff at the door and just have a good time. Don't get frustrated and focus on your spares and you'll be averaging over a deuce in no time.

    Aloha!

I did not bowl in the eliminator tournament this year....my sons birthday was priority. My Step son is bowling in it though and has gone into day 2 of the scratch division in 4th place out of the final 12. There were 48 bowlers to begin with I believe. His first game he rolled a 290! :) It is good to be lucky....but it is better to be a good bowler rather than just a lucky one ;) Have a great week.....
